Semi-Inground pools are very similar to above ground pools, with the only difference being that semi-inground pools are excavated and recessed 2-3 feet in the ground for the pool to be partially buried. This helps provide a more sleek look for the pool as well as the ground settling will help with the longevity of the pool frame, and help hold the shape itself over a longer period of time. Generally, with semi-inground pools, they require less deck work given the pool being recessed in the ground and the decking not not needing to be built up as high. These pools come in either steel or aluminum frames. If you are wanting the pool to be excavated more than 2-3 feet in the ground this will require you to go to a fully inground vinyl liner pool kit.
